My family (me, my Dh, & Ds) are booked for a Feb 2005 3 night land/ 4 night cruise and I was wondering if anyone has ever added days to the land part?
Also is it cheaper to book package together or cruise seperate and land seperate?

I believe that you can add days as long as you are wanting park tickets as well.
Also, it usually is cheaper to book the land/sea separatly, however, you will have to check in at the port rather than at the hotel. So depending on HOW much you might save, it was very convenient to arrive at the port and walk on the ship.

tigger12jb - I added days to my first land/sea vacation. We ended up doing 10 days Disney and a 3 day cruise. No room changes or anything were needed.

I'm not sure if it is cheaper to do it in parts or all together. This last trip however we stayed off-site, had booked transfers for the cruise portion of the trip. The day of embarkation we drove to the Swan and caught the cruise line bus there.

Hi. We added days on to our land/sea package in 10/02, but we had to book them seperately, as we were told by WDW travel that it couldn't be "directly" added to our cruise package. What that ultimately meant was that we had 2 reservations, 2 deposits, 2 final payments and 2 check-ins....one on the first day of our added land days, then one on the start of our land/sea package. We actually stayed at 2 different resorts for each "package", so when our time was up at AKL, they sent our bags over to the BC so they were ready for check in for us there.

If this is your first DCL cruise package, book it as a land/sea package. EVERYTHING is taken care of.....transportation to and from port (all the details for you and your bags) and your check in for the cruise is done at the resort, so no lines at the terminal. In my opinion, what you may save in money booking seperately, you will pay for in extra planning and aggrevation.

We do it all the time. We book the extra nights separately. This time we have two nights before and six nights after our package, and we got AP rates at PO Riverside for two nights before and the first three nights after. There were no AP rates available for Pop Century!

We didn't have the AP's when we booked the cruise package itself, but decided that would be a great early Christmas present. Next year, we'll book everything separately because we'll have our AP's!
