Can we walk to Riviera from Caribbean Beach now?

Prior to the opening in December. For example, if I were at Caribbean Beach on December 2nd, would one be able to walk over to see it or is it closed off?

Was wondering the same thing but for after it opens. Would love to hit both places but am terrified of heights so no skyliner for me

It doesn't open for business until Dec 16, so you probably won't be able to access the resort until then. The Skyliner doesn't stop there now.

Actually the Skyliner does stop there now, for guests staying in the CBR section that’s near that station. Actually, it just slows down significantly, but doesn’t stop except when necessary due to problems with loading or unloading.

But the doors open so that passengers can disembark and new passengers can get on. Also, the Riviera Station is the CLOSEST station to the Aruba section of CBR.

They don't stop anywhere aside from the handicap loops at the end stations in normal operation. They were opening the doors there for people to get on and off on Skyliner's opening day.

I was able to get out at the Riviera Station and look around in October. They even let me get back on.

They had bushes on carts blocking the way, so you couldn't get that close to the new DVC, but I could see it. Sort of.

The Riviera stop is definitely open now for guests staying at CBR. We stayed there in late October and used the Riviera station to get to Epcot.

There is a station between Riviera and Epcot where the gondolas turn but do not stop.

This past weekend, we saw people getting on at Riveria. And we got off there, accidentally, and had to re-enter - at the Riveria Stop. There were cast members there, and it was a regular stop.
