Can we walk from Marriott RI?

We opted for the hotel space (fam of 5) and think we can walk to DLR. How long would it take with a normal walking pace? I'm considering the drop off option with our car and just me walking back. Tell me your experiences.

Are you staying at the one in Garden Grove, down by the Target? Thats about a mile and a half from DL.. probably at least a half hour walk or longer.. I would look into taking one of the shuttles that circulate between the hotels and the park. Drop off the family in the car, then take the shuttle back to the park.

If you are talking about the Marriott Residence Inn Maingate on Clementine, it is about a 15 minute walk, and doable. There are several families that walk from that property to the Disneyland parks. You will also have the Gardenwalk right across the street and that has some nice dining options.

If you are staying at the MainGate one then the walk is really nothing. We did it a few times and we didn't at the end of the day too. So, that is not a big deal. I am not sure about the walk from the other location.

Yes - the Maingate Residence Inn. It seemed doable and seeing we had ART to fall back on, seemed like a good choice at the time of booking. Then reading the ART nightmare stories, I've x'd out that option. Plus I don't think ART can get us there for the MM. Thanks for your response.

if you are talking about the Marriott in Rhode Island (RI) I would say that's a bit of a walk

I am not sure when you will be there, but we had no issues with ART at all last week.

We stayed at the RI Maingate recently and always walked to/from DLR. It was maximum 15 minutes from our room to the bag check area and was never a problem for my family.

Not much view than the GW area and it is a snap to walk if you are use to walking. 12-15 minutes.
