Can we talk Vera Bradley???

We live not far from Ft. Wayne which is where Vera Bradley is located, so its been popular around here for years. I love the hipsters and mini hipsters and thats pretty much all I carry now. I have several of the totes, but keep going back to the hipsters. The mini hipster is my favorite, but sometimes I need just a little more room than they offer, so I have to move up to the hipster.

I really like the older hipster style more than the newer one. I am not sure why, its just one of those things.

We had a blast at the VB sale the beginning of this month. I went with my niece and her friend. It was CRAZY....we had a 30 hour wait, just to get into the sale. Thank god it was a really nice day out. But once we got into the sale it didn't take us all that long to find what we wanted and get into the check out line. Check out took us just about 45 minutes.

I ended up with - all for my DD12:

Reader Case - $1.00 reg price $15.00
Hobo bag - $20.00 reg price $63.00
Garment Bag - $23.00 reg price $130.00 - This was the 1 item I really wanted to get.
Pocket Wallet - $9.00 reg price $25.00
Cargo Sling - $10.00 reg price $90.00. They couldn't get these on the tables fast enough. At the time we were in that area, they didn't have any of the Purple Punch out, so she ended up with Pinwheel Pink.

I think a lot of the EXREME CRAZIES that go to the shows are going to be cut way down, with the purchasing guidelines they put into place starting with this show. You now have to register and pay a $5.00 fee. You don't have to register until you get to the show, either prior to going into the sale floor or as you are exiting the sales floor and you aren't charge the fee until you check out. You are limited to $2500.00 for the weekend and the registration name and address had to match your ID before they would even start to ring our purchase up. My dad works the show and he said they only had a few try to use someone elses registration to buy more.

We are hoping that they hold the fall sale in FTW again this year.

My friend is really into VB and when we were shopping together recently she brought me to look at the bags with her and I fell in love with the new mailbag style. :lovestruc

I got one in Cupcakes Green on Ebay and I really want one in the Bali Gold too.

You waited 30 hours??????

I have a few VB bags in Medallion, Mesa Red, Capri Blue, Kensington and Yellow Bird. I love the totes and accessories like my tech case.
I am thinking about getting the new Bali Blue :lovestruc in some large pieces that I can use when I travel.

I am a big handbag person--LV, Prada, Gucci. I do like the Vera's in the summer. They are a great summer bag, and love them on beach town vacations. I usually tie one of the matching scarves on the strap. I love the bright colors. I am a preppy girl at heart, and many of the patterns remind me of preppy.

I love Vera Bradley! I just bought the wallet, hipster and duffel in Bali blue. I have the hipster, waller, and cell phone case in Mesa Red, the tic tac toe bag, wallet and cell phone case, and mini hipster in Botanical and Capri Blue. My favorite is Mesa Red; I wish I had more in this pattern. For now, I am staying out of the store and off the website! It is so easy to buy, especially since my two daughters collect too!

I have a few. I always use a mini-hipster at WDW. I have 2 of them for that. If I go with my mom, she always borrows one. It is SO much better than using a fanny pack and a backpack was too big for me.

I have a few:
Old style hipster Riviera Blue ( hate this bag and color) bought it for WDW but didn't like it!
Frankly Scarlet in the Bowler
Mediterranean Blue Vera Bag
Botanical Curvy tote
Pink Elephants handbag DD 10
Mesa Red Maggie DD 13
Dh just bought me Gabby in Bali gold for our wedding anv! Should be here tomorrow; I can't wait!
I just bought MIL curvy tote in Java blue for Mother's Day. For year end gifts I got DD's teacher curvy tote in Frankly Scarlet. I bought other DD's teachers VB luggage tags ( she changes classes and has multiple teachers!).
Ok I guess I have more than I thought!:scared1:

OMG...wait until you see the new colors coming next month....there is a beautiful purply/bluish paisly.
I saw pics last weekend at our store.

my current color of obsession is purple punch

I mostly use the bags for travel but I use a wallet and sunglass case every day.

I'm not a huge fan, but I have a few things...

I got a burgundy (now retired) pattern hipster for my college graduation last year, and I too it to WDW. I bought a bright blue hipster when they had the huge sale last summer and took it to WDW, also.

I also bought a diaper bag (light pink) at JBF, and I used it as a laptop bag. I have a Pinwheel Pink (I think that's the pattern) headband/sash thing. I also have a Mod Floral Pink Lindsay bag, but I hate it and have never used it. It still has the tags, and it's been listed on Craigslist for a while. No one else in Oklahoma wants it, either. :lmao:

Went out to Center Point Station to see what they had on sale. I didn't want to spend a lot so i decided that i would stick as close to $20 as I could. I found a Daisy daisy On the Go for 50% off!! Went a little over twenty, but, really, not bad. There were these ladies there, all asking about my cargo sling.

They thought I was buying it there and just wearing it. This one gal was looking for a diaper bag for her daughter/grandson. I suggested the cargo sling, showed her all the features on mine and she ended up buying one in MFB. I heard her up at the register telling the cashiier that they should hire me!! Less than a year of being a die hard Vera fan and I was actually able to help someone make a good purchase!! And i knew what I was talking about!! It was such a cool moment.

When I paid for mine, the cashier was telling me that it was like a feeding frenzy on friday when they first had the sale and that they hardly had anything left. Really?? It took me a long time going through the sale items, quite a few things left, i thought. One bad thing about the sales items, some of them had the look like they had been pawed over. Not real dirty or anything, but you could just tell they had been touched a lot.

I went over and looked at the new hipsters. Not impressed as much as i wanted to be. maybe on sale or something, but i'm happy with my old one. I love my new OTG. This was the first vera bag that I bought on sight. Usually I order online. I like the bag. I know it has a few limits as far as pocket space, but for the price and for daily use, i think it's perfect. i went out there thinking about a wallet. i didn't dare hope i could find an actual purse for what I paid. So, I'm thrilled!!

I also was able to get a tricky perscription filled, the library had a book i've been wanting and the dry cleaner's didn't botch my hubby's order for a change. i'm home and eating lunch and still have well over an hour before the kids start coming home!! Life is good. How are you all doing today???
