Can we print boarding passes from resort?

Quick question here...does anyone know if you can check-in and print boarding passes for your return flight from the resort? We are flying with US Airways and we're not using magical express. I just want to make sure that our seats are somewhat close to each other on the return trip. Our flights were already rescheduled once and from what I understand now that even pre-assigned seats aren't guaranteed ( I read that somewhere on their website...) :(

We did originally select our seats at booking, but since the flights have changed, my online itinerary has our seats as "check-in required". I called US Air and was assured that my seating assignments were still the same, but I had such hard time understanding them (really hard to understand with their accents)I might have missed something. I am really hoping the Poly will let us do the check-in. We are not staying concierge, if that makes any difference.

Thanks for any info!

You can ask the resort airline check in desk to do it for you. If US Air is part of the participating airlines, I believe you can use them to check your bags as well, even if you are not using ME, but double check that one.

If it is outside fo the airline check in time at your resort, go to the conceirge desk in the main lobby and ask them to do it for you. They should.

Hi Lisa,

I've had them printed at the Beach Club and at Pop Century, just bring a copy of your confirmation with you to the guest services desk in the lobby and they will print them for you. Have a great trip!!

Thank you so much for the quick replies!! Now that is one less thing to worry about. :goodvibes US Air isn't a participating airline so I know I can't check my bags. I was more worried about selecting seats just incase we don't get the ones we originally selected.

Would you offer a tip to the guest service/concierge person who printed your boarding pass or not?

WHile you can get your boarding passes printed at the resort, please keep in mind that they can not change your seat assignments. I found this out in December while staying at the AKL. We went to the airline checkin and the front desk. Both said they could print the boarding passes, but beware, If the front desk prints your boarding passes you can not check your luggage with the airline desk. Only if the airline checkin desk prints your boarding passes will they accept your luggage. We asked the CMs and manager and the CM checked with others, that they can take care of printing, but absolutely cannot change or adjust any seating assignments. If you need to do that, then you need to go to one of the computer locations at one of the conference center and use a computer there (for a fee) to log on, select your seat assignments and print your boarding passes. It was so complicated in December when we tried to sort this out. There were six of us and we were all over the plane. We finally gave up, and checked our bags at the airline checkin desk at the AKL and got our boarding passes and hoped for the best when we got to the airport. Unfortunately the flight was booked and they could not change any of our seat assignments, so the six of us were all over the plane including our 11 year old grandson. We now try to make sure we have seat assignments for our return flight home when booking our reservations. Good luck.

We're taking US Airways and they aren't one of the airlines where you could check your luggage at the resort. We have to check it at the airport regardless of where we print the boarding passes. But that is good to know about the resorts not being able to change the seating assignments. That would kind of be useless in our situation.
I didn't know there were conference centers where you could use the computer for a fee. Can I be a pain and ask you where they are? Are they at each resort or separate from the resorts?

The conference centers are at the resorts the hold conferences. Boardwalk, Contemporary, Coronado, maybe Beach club. They have different hours and different days. (I looked into this when we had the same problem). I'm sure if you check with the front desk of your resort, they can give you the information. I've also seen some posts where folks were not charged a fee ($10) because it was less than 15 minutes. If I remember correctly, I believe the Contemporary had the best availability/hours & days. Good Luck....I know how stressful it can be.

With Airtran you choose your seat assignment when you print your boarding pass 24 hours before your flight. Are you saying a CM wouldn't choose a seat for us when they print our boarding passes? We're not using ME.

Correct. We tried to do this in December because we needed seat assignments. The CMs can print boarding passes, but can not have access to your individual account to make seat requests for you. The only option is to do it yourself at one of the conference centers. We even tried calling the airline (United) 24 hours prior to see if they could then assign us seats....they told us NO.

That seems odd. In order to print a boarding pass, they already have access to and are in your account. What's the difference?

The CM told us they don't have access to that function. They only have the ability to print the boarding passes and not make any changes. I asked if I could just log on to my own account and was told no. Probably for security reasons, the CMs only have a vertify and print only capability.
