Can we pay OOP for adult buffet and use child's DDP credit?

My family of 3 will be eating at O'hanas for breakfast one day, then DH and I will go to Spoodles that evening when DD is in a kid care club. We figure it's a better use of dining credits to use them at Spoodles in the evening (we have 7 ADR's and 6 TS credits, so we won't use them elsewhere). Since DD won't be with us, can we use her credit that a.m. at the Ohana breakfast and pay OOP for our character breakfast meal?
