Can we pay for our room like this?

My sis & I are splitting 3 nts @ WL in Dec. - I paid the deposit & the room is in my name, as I'm the AP holder, but my sis is on the reservation, too. Here's my question: can my sis call & pay her half on her credit card before we arrive? Why? Because my DD & I will be arriving about 3 hours before them & would like to go ahead & check in, store our bags, etc... (She wants to use her credit card rather than let me pay in full & pay me her half in cash upon arrival cuz she gets her frequent flier miles that way.) Thanks for your help.

Hi, my sister and I did a trip together at the CR last February. ( I have never had to pay for the room in full before check in so I wouldn't worry about that part.) When we recieved our final statement on the day of check out, the total was charged to my cc. We just took the statement to the front desk and they adjusted it with her credit card. It was no problem at all.

Shouldn't be a problem calling ahead at all. Just have her call and give the confirmation # and tell them she has a new credit card number to pay with.

We have done this in the past with IL's.

My family just did this as well. The reservation was in my name, and I paid my half with money orders. Just before final payment was due, my mom called to pay her part of the package. She just needed the confirmation # as well as my address and phone #.

I don't think they really care who pays, as long as they get paid
