If they won't let you into EP IG, I would hop in a cab at BC and ask to be taken to TTC. You could then walk to Poly and over to VGF. You could also catch an MK bus, monorail or boat to Poly and walk to VGF from there (or even bus to MK, walk to CR, monorail to Poly and walk). I love walking, too! You really have a lot of options!

You'll be fine. If you get to the back entrance past 9:30 let them know you just want to walk through to the monorail so you can get back to your resort. Most guards will say okay. They don't even start clearing Epcot until 10:30pm on a night that Epcot is open until 9:30. The fireworks don't even start until 9:30.

I know this as someone who worked at Epcot. Like I said even until they clear the United Kingdom security usually lets people walk from the International Gateway up to the monorail.

It has been a little over a year since I left Disney but I can't tell you how many times when I would be clearing Epcot security would bump our radio and let us know they let 2 guest through IG so they could walk to the monorail. This would often be around 10 - 10:15 since we hardly ever made it through to the UK before 10:45. I guess things could have changed simce then but I honestly can't imagine why since people can and do park at Epcot to do split days or to spend the daybat Epcot but eat at the boardwalk so they have to have a way to get you to Epcot parking for a reasonable amount of time after park close.

Thank you! We will give it a try and have the peace of mind that we can always walk to the Dolphin and jump in a cab or call an Uber car if needed.
Hopefully it won't be pouring rain and we can enjoy a nice walk that evening.

We are going to the 8:30 Fantasmic Show on Tuesday, December 15. I think the show is about 30 minutes?

My husband and I love to walk, and last year the walk from HS to Epcot was a highlight of our trip. We would love to do this again! If I recall correctly, it is appox. 1.5 miles and takes about 30 minutes.

We need to make it to Epcot by 9:30 PM (closing time) after the 8:30 Fantasmic show. Can we make it? It seems impossible. How strictly in closing time enforced? Will we have any other options to get to the Epcot Monorail station?

We don't plan to do anything specific at Epcot - only to walk through to the monorail to return to the TTC and then walk back to our resort (VGF).

Very possible by SPEED-WALKING and using the BWI "shortcut".

We have made that walk several times. Sit near the exit to get ahead of the crowd at fantasmic, and walk briskly.

Two posts above yours wilkeliza said it is possible, and since she worked closing at Epcot as recently as a year ago, I would believe her.

What is people at the MK Resorts had a dinner reservation in the Boardwalk area and needed to get back to their resort?

They take a bus

I can't imagine walking from resort to resort or park to park. I'm too tired to even think of it. I say take the bus.

When you exit Hollywood studios head to the left upon your exit this where the park buses pick people up. the ones to the right are all resorts. Good luck.
