Can we do this?

We are right now a party of 4--me, DH, DS age 3, and DS age 1, going on the 7/5 package. DH grandma might want to go with us, but she doesn't know yet, and we don't know when she will know (her husband passed away last weekend). Could we add her to our room, and would she have to be on the 7/5 package (it's expired, I know), or could we pay the $25 extra a night for her and get her a PHP? We would be 3 adults, one child, and an infant in a pack and play, is that allowed at CBR? I don't want to go to POR/POFQ. Our other choice would be to get grandma her own room, which we'd rather not do if we don't have to.

Thanks

You are right that 5 can stay in Caribbean Beach Resort because one is a child under 3. You should be able to add the 5th person on after you check-in without any problems. It will cost $15 extra per night for the additional adult in the room since CBR is a moderate resort.

I think you could get a PHP for your grandmother instead of having to pay for the length of stay pass that you have with your package. It would be cheaper. If you are worried, just call WDW and ask them.

i concur completely w/tcfdick's post...

when we stayed at cbr a few years ago, we had my niece (18yo) stay w/us for two of our nine nights and paid the add'l $15 for a rollaway, and did not put her on our "plan" and there was no add'l charge for an extra adult (it was dh, i, 4yo & 6yo + niece)... it pays to ask!

I don't think so. When you book a package, everyone in the room must be on the package. If you've a room only, then, yes, you can add someone later.

I'd call WDW to ask for sure.

I just called, and the CM (awesome CM by the way, name was Nia, I believe) said that everyone in the room has to be on the same package, if there is a package.

Like it or not, I follow the rules, so we're looking at adding a package for grandma, or else getting her own room and either a UPH or a PHP, whichever. Since we'll need at least a 7-day PHP, I haven't decided yet. She will be paying for herself, and the cost won't be an issue, I'd just like to do it as cheap as we can.

Thanks for the replies!
