Can we do this?

My sister and I are not big eatters, but we would like to watch the fireworks from California Grill so I was thinking maybe we could share a dessert, will they balk at us if we want to share, and how much extra do they charge? Thanks:hippie::cheer2:

Another option would be to do dessert from the Main Street Bakery and cop a seat in the Noodle Station area. You would be so much closer to WISHES with the added benefit of seeing Tinker Bell fly right over your heads:cutie:Or monorail over to the Poly and take your drink out on the beach to watch from the lagoon. IMO It seems a bit much to expect full seating and service from the California Grill for a single shared dessert; be sure and disclose when making the ADR and they can tell you what charges will be and if they accomodate your shared single course request.

I would suggest going up and ordering from the bar instead of expecting to take up a table for a single shared dessert.

I don't think it's a good idea to take up a table to just order 1 dessert at any nice restaurant. You maybe can go to the bar or watch from the beach areas.

That is not an option any longer because it is reserved the the fireworks dessert parties.

I would also sit at the bar and not take up a table for a shared dessert. A shared entree and dessert with drinks, okay.

I have never thought about taking the Monorail to the Polynesian resort on the beach to watch from the lagoon. Can anyone do this (even if you're not staying at the resort)? How busy is it and does it cost any money?

Yes anyone can go there and it's free. As for how busy they get when I stayed there in December 2007 I don't remember it being busy with a lot of other guests, although I have no idea what it's like on a major holiday such as July 4th or New Years Eve.

I haven't been to the California Grill before, since we will only be having drinks and dessert at that late hour I will ask for bar seating. I am really looking forward to this I have always wanted to try it out. :hippie::cheer2::flower3:

We did that last year after eating at O'hana. We went out to the bar got a drink and sat at a table, the bar was closing just about the time Wishes started. You also get to watch the Light Parade in the Lagoon, I forget what that parade is called.
