Can we do this?

Just trying to get a strategy here......

We have a Sci Fi reservation for 3:30pm at DHS. We were going to eat and then kill some time before getting in line for Fantasmic.

If we got a reservation at Sci-Fi for lunch instead, could we then get CS and take it into the theatre and eat there while waiting for the show? I didn't realize until recently that they actually let you into the theatre to wait as we stood in the line outside the theatre in 2004. Being able to eat while waiting would help us utilize that time and free up more time in the park.

Also, I noticed on the park hours I seen.....it says DHS closes at 7:30pm but thats when F! starts. Is that right? Do they just close all of the park except for Fantasmic?

Yes, you can bring in CS to the theatre, or there is a CS in the theatre itself, although it mostly sells hot dogs and such things.

And yes, the show begins at the closing of the park. The rides and attractions close, the restaurants close, everything closes except the shops that line the streets between the theatre and the front gate

Is there a place to see what time lunch ends and dinner begins at Sci Fi?

I don't know about exact times, without calling the restaurant directly and asking them, but in general the switch from lunch to dinner happens at most restaurants between 3 and 4 pm.

I agree if you want to know for sure you can call. But doesn't look like it really matters for this place b/c menu choices are about the same (see link) for lunch/dinner. We also have mid-afternoon reservations but are considering taking turkey legs in for dinner and cancelling the reservation -- yum!!
