Hi all, this is our 1st trip to DLP and to say we are excited is an understatement!!

The trip was booked in September, originally for me, dp and our DD (4) Jemma (we decided it would be too much for our likkle man James > one in January)....

We arrive in DLP March 1st and depart March 3rd and are staying in the Santa Fe.

But then Shane's(Dp) brother asked if he and his DD (8) Katelyn could come..

And so the Cast is...

Me... Kizzy, 23, Loves Alice in Wonderland, Friar Tuck, Tink and singing when no ones listening!

Dp... Shane, 26, Loves motorbikes, lie ins and being talked into going to DLP!!

DD... Jemma, 4, Loves Snow white and the rest of the princesses, talking and curry!

BIL... Liam, 34, Loves Minnie Mouse, his mammys cooking and rollercoasters!

DN... Katelyn, 8, Loves Tinkerbell, dancing and HSM!

We booked when we saw the Free Dining ads on telly, funds were always too tight normally, so this is a budget trip, we are saving like crazy and doing fairly well thankfully. Its a lot of scrimping (cant remember what the inside of our local pub looks like!!) but its gonna be worth it!!

We are pretty much organised.
We have paid for our accomodation the night before we fly, DLP (Free Dining), our flights to Beauvais, transfers via RS Transport and just have to make a rough plan for what to do and where to eat.
Just have to get passports for the girls and Liam and persuade Jemma that she cant bring all of her princess dresses!!

We are looking forward to meeting the charactors, seeing the parades and the rides. Myself, Liam and Katelyn are pretty fearless, the faster the better but Jem and Shane are a bit more apprehensive!

Cannot wait to get to the magic place... only prob is leaving my bubba behind....

You will have a brilliant time - the saving hard will be so worth it. We just cant wait for our trip! Gorgeous photos - it will be hard to leave that gorgeous boy.:banana::banana:

you will hav a fab time, i cant wait to go back, my dds are 3+4 luv disney and are always asking to go back!! gemma will luv it:goodvibes. I only left my 3yr old for the first time 2wks ago and it was only for a night when they went to stay at my parents 15min away!! so i understand how u feel leaving the little man but you can bring him nxt time:)

Hi Kizzy, you'll be too busy enjoying yourself to be thinking about James! I've been a few times before in March & it has been very cold, so wrap up well. Jemma is a great age to go & will especially love the rides in Fantasyland (although maybe not Snow White & Pinocchio which are quite dark). Maybe Shane can stay in Fantasyland with her while you have a go on some of the faster rides! Bring your own buggy to save hiring one, because Jemma will get tired with all the walking & bring some snacks in your luggage because everything is so expensive in the parks. Have a great time planning in the meantime. It'll be no time until you're going.

hes very quiet and has a happy, relaxed personality so i have no worries leaving him with my mam and dad (my mam said she wishes the 6 of us were as quiet and easy going when we were small!) its nice to get some one on one time with Jem aswel though!

:thumbsup2 for shane it'll be a bit like when we go shopping... hes the bag man!! he went on a few rides in port aventura in spain on our last hol, one was a very fast water ride, which kinda surprised me so fingers crossed he'll leave the nerves at home and try a few in DLP, the chicken exit may come in handy though!!

yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay one month to go!!!
just have to get a new memory card for the camera (and lots of batteries!!)
pretty organised, waiting on Jems passport to arrive and have to get adaptors and we're set!:cheer2::cheer2:

had a bit of a rough weekend, we buried a close friend and im thanking my lucky stars we have DLP to look forward to...

jemmas passport arrived.. getting out the suitcases tomorrow!!!!!

booked Newport Bay for may aswel for the week after my birthday (mams paying for our transfers and DP is paying for our flights!! yaaay for crafty bday pressies)
its going to be a surprise trip, my friend elaine is coming too and bringing her sis and im bringing jemma (we're keeping them in the dark until we board the plane!!)

Sorry to hear about your friend Kiz :(

But YAY on the npb trip - I can't believe you've already booked your second trip before even getting there for this one, lol. That said, I admit I have been pricing up options for next year... :confused3:rotfl:

Good news on Jemma's passport too - seems their being quite efficient again at the moment.

lol passport office are on strike here at the min so DBIL has to collect his and DN's on friday!! thankfully we posted early enough!
have DDs trunki packed and ready to go and am bringing DS's bits and bobs to my mams tomorrow so that i dont forget it (dont think it would go down too well if i left my son at home in his pjs for 4 days!!)

thanks marc, its a huge shock, we visited his grave today and had a chat! hes sadly missed but some mad other worldy things have happened since his death.... he had alot of faith in st martin and padre pio...
and my SIL has a little medal and relic on her keys (which our deceased friend had bought her) but the medal of st martin went missing 3 years ago.. she had a little chat to joe and asked that he let us know that hes now ok.... and that night the medal that had been lost was in the keyfob when she openned it!! scary and consoling all at the same time!

Have a wonderful time, your DD is gorgeous and will simply HAVE to take as many princess dresses as it is possible to fit into one Trunkie - it's the Disney rule! princess: Big hugs to your little man x x

Bring on the Disney magic :wizard:

p.s. Can't believe you've got two trips in the planning!! :thumbsup2
