Can we arrive several hours before check-in?

Hi! We are staying at the Contemporary in June. We've got a one-night off-site prior to that reservation, though, and are planning to go to MK the day of check-in.

Can we go straight to the Contemporary, first thing that morning (like 7am) of our check-in day, and monorail to the MK? I can't see them turning us away, but I sure don't want to risk it and waste any time!

We always get there before check in and get our tickets even though our room isn't ready we go to the park. Last time they texted us when our room was ready with the room number.

We always arrive at our resort at 7am. Sometimes the room is ready and sometimes its not and we go on to the parks and get a text.

We arrived very early at AKL last trip and they gladly held our luggage for us until the room was ready. We spent the day at MK then went to check in later.

Last month we did a split stay which involved 4 different resorts and each time we checked in which happened to be before noon, our room was available. So go ahead and check in early you just might get lucky and your room will be available.

Check in online 60days before your trip and they ask what time you will be arriving. Which is what I feel helped us get into our rooms early. Not sure if it is true but how could be we so lucky that 4 different times our rooms at different resorts were all ready for us when we arrived in the morning.

I've checked in twice at 9am and both times my room has been ready and I've been able to just toss my stuff on the bed and head to MK!

If you show up at 7am and they have a room that fits your reservation/request,they will give it to you. Chances are it was vacant the day before. Keep in mind, early arrivals get the better chances of special requests being honored. They also get the benefit of being able to decline a room for a different one. The later arrivals are the ones that get the leftovers of what others possibly turned down. When reading posts about people that were disappointed with their room. chances are they arrived well after check-in time. I have seen occasions where room numbers were assigned and a guest returns to the desk and asks for a higher floor or another requests. The hotel staff will find a room assigned to someome else that hasnt checked in and switxh them.. I say all of that just to say, never underestimate the advantages of early arrival. Have a MAGICAL vacation!!

That's great to know about the online check-in! We'll definitely take advantage of that. Anything for the cause!

Just make sure on your next trip, you scroll down and look at the new text with the new room number, otherwise you could end up at the wrong room.
