Unbelievable!! My precious wife just said, "I think I'm ready to honestly consider DVC." I just about freaked. We've been going to WDW at least once yearly (beginning with our honeymoon in '80); cruised on the Magic last year for our 20th (absolutely the best); and lived in New Smyrna Beach (1 hr. 10 min. drive from door to gate) -- we'd go just about weekly back in those days. We've stayed everywhere on property except GF and CB. Disneyaholics? You betcha. Now that DS is graduating from High School and entering into a stint with the Marines, and DD is a 14-year-old who'll be flying the coop before we know it
, I think DW is seeing a valid need to not only take care of our vacation needs, but making provisions for grandkids on down the road. BELIEVE me, she's come a long way to say even THIS much. We've done as much homework on the financials as we can (spreadsheets, obsessive point counting, etc.) and it's looking promising. Just a couple of questions for the vets: what kind of experiences have you had with member getaways? (DD would love to go to NYC for her graduation, for example.) Has anyone bought HH or VB but used the WDW resorts exclusively? And finally ... did any of you have a hesitant spouse, and what was the strategy you used to get them totally on board? Thanks ever so much!!
