In all the amusement parks near us they don't let
you take in any drinks or snacks as they want you
to buy them there.
From everything that I have read hear that doesn't
seem to be the case in WDW parks.
Can someone clear this up for me.

I think the official word might be no food allowed, but in practice they seem to let small amounts in. We have brought in granola bars, fruit and water bottles and such and have never had anything said. As long as it is reasonable, WDW doesn't seem to have a problem. Most people don't go all day on a few crackers or a granola bar, so everyone is still likely to spend more money in the parks on food and snacks. Obviously if you show up with a big rolling cooler filled with stuff you might have a problem!

Thank you cjb71870

We have the DDP, but DH could eat 24/7 so I wanted to bring a few snacks
along as well. So I could save a few $$ as well as not be in food lines all the time.

That's exactly what I was thinking water, pc. fruit & crackers or granola bar.

Thanks

I go to DW alot and I have seen families actually eating pretty much meals they brought in. Big families with sandwiches for all and more.

With all due respect to previous posters, don't take heed to the comments about "small amounts" or "reasonable amounts" -- you can bring in dinner for 100, as long as there's no glass, no alcohol, and the bags you're bringing in aren't too big or are of the wrong form. No wheeled coolers are allowed, and no bags of any type that would be too big to theoretically fit into a rental locker in the park.

We've brought in lunch for 6 a few different times. The bag-checkers certainly see all the stuff we have, and it's no problem. We're not getting away with anything.

Yeah, what Cleve said!

They are most adamant about the no-alchohol and no-glass policies, for obvious reasons.

DW and I sometimes bring lunch (a sandwich each, chips, granola bars) and have never had a problem. It's 'official policy' but I have never seen it enforced.
