I am trying to price out different land/sea packages for my family of 6(seperately or though disney etc...) we'll be there for a total of 5 nights on land and 4 nights at seat in Sept/Oct (trying to hit swimming weather and mnsshp!) I am wondering if I can add the disney dining plan to the land portion of our package if we go through disney to book the whole thing. I don't see why not, I'm booking a package and tickets for everyone through them. I just called CRO and was told no after a nice cm checked with Guest Services. Anyone had any luck with this. Should I call DCL directly and ask them, what is their phone #?
Thanks in Advance

They don't offer the dining with the land/sea packages. The only way you can add it on is if you book them seperately and not as the land/sea package. HTH

That is what she told me, but it totally doesn't make sense to me. I figure, I'm purchasing a "package" from Disney, right? That is the qualification for the dining plan, this just happens to be a different sort of package. JMO

I know--I"m pretty ticked off about NOT getting that dining package too. Instead I"m given free admission to stuff I don't have any time for--how am I to do four parks in four nights PLUS Pleasure Island and the waterparks???? I don't even want the hopper part.

The policy has changed though for 2006, but that dioesn't help my Dec 2005 land and sea.

Why don't you stay a couple of extra days, that is what we are doing, that way we can hit all 4 parks, but i'm still peeved about the dining thing. It just doesn't make sense.

ooo, I don't remember the 2006 details very well, check out www.mousesavers.com

staying extra days won't work--no time or money :)
Mr. FFerret's not too keen on us going in the first place: I got the "you know with the money you're spending on the cruise I can buy a boat" spiel last night :)

the only logic that I can think of with the way land and sea is right now is that the "magic your way" settup (maybe on the tickets themselves) just doesn't work with the program (the way the disney system works)--that it's not compatible, but might be next year. Don't know, just guessing. :) Magic Your Way is new and maybe the higher ups just didn't take the Land and Sea into full consideration when the program was started.

Disney Cruise Line and Walt Disney Travel Company are different business entities. DCL contracts with WDTC to purchase space at the select resorts and the packages with the tickets. The dining package was not part of the contract, so that is why you can't add it to your cruise reservation.
