Can ticket add-ons be purchased later?

We're planning our trip and I'm considering the 10-day tickets with no expiration. I'm undecided about park hopper though so I don't want to add it yet.

So, what if I want it later? Can I add it then?

Yes, you can. You can even use several days, then add on the no expiry option park hopper, or whatever. But the price will be based on the original price you paid, not on the remaining days. So plan on whatever the cost would be now, is the same cost if you add on after your start your vacation. As long as you do it before the last day of your trip though, you're good.
