DH and I will be joining my parents for a trip to WDW next May (didn't book the exact week just yet, but it will be the 1st or 2nd week of the month). As I mentioned in an earlier post, DH is not too excited about going. So I decided to compromise, and plan more that he enjoys (bars at night, relaxing by the pool, Blizzard Beach, etc.) I have never gone in May, but I heard the crowds are bearable and the weather is beautiful. What are your thoughts on this itinerary? And does anyone know the general park hours for this time of year? I have gone during the summer when they are open late, and in March when the parks close around 9pm.
Saturday night- fly into Orlando from Newark (I probably have to work until 5pm), Downtown Disney?
Sunday- WDW park, Pleasure Island for PM
Monday- relax by pool in the AM; WDW park after lunch
Tuesday- Universal/IOA
Wednesday- Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon (we've been to BB and loved it-- should we try TL?)
Thursday- WDW park; Jelly Rolls (Boardwalk) for PM
Friday- relax by pool in the AM; WDW park
Saturday- Downtown Disney, fly back to Newark mid-afternoon
Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated! I want DH to be excited about this trip!
