I am so mad at myself. My DSis bought me this set of HONEY BEE Mugs from Williams Sonoma for my birthday.
I was emptying the dishwasher, my hands were wet and as I was putting them into the cabinet, one slipped right out of my hand and on to the granite counter and look ...

Does anyone know if this mug can be repaired? It is a total clean break.

Yep! Krazy Glue it. They fix that on the commercial all the time. Have B pick some up on his way home from work and let that be one of his weekend "honey do" projects.

But will 'crazy glue' hold up? I am worried that if I were to have a cup of hot tea in the mug, the handle might give way ...

It should but why not just order another set. That way you have plenty of extras in case this happens again. Those are TOO cute!

This. Those cups are too cute. I'd be buying another set, just in case, but then I'm really challenged in the physical coordination department.

I read your post and you said that you dropped the cup on the granite, when I scrolled down to your pic, I was expecting to see a million pieces of cup scattered around.

I of course had to giggle when I saw your damage. Of course that can be fixed.....crazy glue will do it. Its a staple in my kitchen and me, wet hands dishwasher, and porcaline floors to not always see eye to eye

I'd use Gorilla Glue. I've glued all kinds of things together around the house with it. I've evn glued...you guessed it, A mug! It's been through the dishwasher numerous times since the incident and it's still going strong!

Hubby dropped a cup, crazy glued it and taped it (of all weird things), and it's held up with lots of cups of hot tea and coffee. Goes in the microwave all the time, even (and the tape is unchanged, very odd).

I tend to hold it by its body, but hubby holds it by the handle and doesn't worry about it.

Super glue all the way......yes it will absolutely hold. I love super glue, we need to super glue DD's band shoes this weekend, the sole is coming off, they are borrowed shoes so who knows how many girls have worn them but our plan is just to glue them up for her. lol

I was so surprised as well, as it slipped out of my hand I thought OH NO HERE GOES ... and then the handle just came off. No little pieces, fragments, slivers from the mug ... just a clean break of the handle right off the mug!!!

THANKS EVERYONE for all the replies ... I am going to do TWO things ...

#1) BUY ANOTHER SET of HONEY BEE MUGS from WS!!!

#2) BUY SOME GORILLA GLUE!!!
