Can they take away our PIN discount?

Ok. My MIL is going to be 83 and hasn't been to WDW in 20 years. So we decided to take the whole family in Oct. There will be 6 of us. She's in pretty good health but has some lung issues. If she gets something as simple as a cold, she might be unable to travel.

So my question is this. If our PIN code is in her name, and she has to cancel (she's adamant that we would go anyway), would we lose the PIN discount on the other 2 rooms?

Does this make sense?

Thanks

Pin codes are unfortunately not transferrable. Since she has booked the three rooms under her pin code, sadly you lose it if she isn't going, since she is the lead person on the reservation and the three ressies are linked.

I don't know if this was situational or not...but a few years back I booked a trip with my father in law and my family using a pin code under his name. Sadly he passed away before our trip. They said that it was no problem for us to keep our reservation and the code it was booked under. Again, not sure if they make exceptions for situations on a case by case instance. But it might be worth calling and explaining the situation and see if you can switch the reservation into your name.

Dont know if this is relevant but I had reservations at Cinderella's Breakfast in my Moms name when she had to cancel for health reasons. When we called, they would not transfer nor confirm we could get in if we had her card with us. Several calls later and they sais they would probably work it out and we shoudl figure it out there. i could not stand the thought of standing there with kids and not getting in so we ended up getting Chef Mickeys instead

???? I'm confused. I do not understand what an ADR has to do with someone showing up or not. It's been paid for; seating you shouldn't be a problem. You just show up and giver the name the ADR is under. What card do you need? I've never had them check my credit card against the payment. Good thing too because once my card was cancelled between the time I booked and the time of our trip; I started using another card instead.

OP--Technically, yes, you will lose your pin code. There is a chance they can make an exception. Usually you would have to have someone with the same address there with you, but Disney can decide to do what they want.

The ADR thing has to do with CRT reservations being sold on ebay. OP, as a reservation agent I wouldn't take the discount away from you. Disney wouldn't do that to you if your mom couldn't make it.

I have had something similar happen to me and we were still able to go. I simply called and had my familt member, the pin holder's, room cancelled and the other room remained in tact. I did not make an issue of the fact that she is the "pin code holder" and I was never questioned about it. I hope it works out for you and that your mother is still able to go:goodvibes ~
