DH and I have a 1 bedroom Savannah view ressie for December 7-15. Our college son now says he may want to join us after exams but does not have the dates of exams yet. He would probably be coming around Dec 11. How would it work adding him in the middle of the trip? I don't want to put our ressie in danger of cancellation! I got it at 11 months.

My aunt jointed us mid-trip last October. If I remember correctly, I think I just went ahead and put her down as coming on the first day and they gave me her card when I checked in. We didn't have the dining plan, so it worked just fine. If you're going to use the dining plan, I'm not sure what your options are.

Thanks Izzi. Did you let them know when you got there or before? We won't know what his exam scedule is until this fall.

It is no problem adding a guest in the middle of your trip. Our DS has done this a few times, and we let member services know, once only 1 week in advance. We even set up ME for him, without any difficulties.

We added one more person to our res. the same day that she arrived with a surprise visit. As long as you don't max out the room occup. they don't care as long as you inform them. But like previous post stated...if you do the dining plan....and your son is added on the res. You will have to pay for the dining plan for the whole time of res. and not just when he arrives.

For ex. You and Hubby there for 6 nights and son shows up for only 3 nights...you still have to pay for 3 pp for the whole 6 nights of DDP.

Some folks don't mind this and just use the extra dining meals towards more 2TS. Others just pay out of pocket for dining.

Done this many times. I have one friend leaving one day on ME and my daughter arrives on ME the next day during our two week stay. No problem, though I did not do the dining plan...
