the studios at OKW are so big,yet the max occupancy is 4,while the new studios at BLT are much smaller (we visited yesteday) and I can't see how 5 could comfortably fit in there? it makes no sense,and 'fire codes' and all don't either,not when the room size is much smaller,yet max occupancy is higher?
we're 4 people anyway,but it seems strange to em....... BTW, why are the bathroom sinks in a BLT studio outside and around the corner? kind of eww......

occupancy for BLT studios is 4. (says so on the point chart.)

BLT 1BRs have an extra sleeper chair for max occupancy in 1BRs of 5.

Basically, the occupancey for ALL studios is 4, because that's how many the beds can accommodate. The big difference is that OKW has two "real" queen sized beds, while all the other DVC studios on site only have a queen bed and full size pull out sofa.

oh...non lockable? I thought the bathrooms were so pretty,till I noticed the sink thing......the decor is lovely though.....

Room occupancy isn't based on the size of the room.

When I look at occupancy I look at "max" meaning 2 people to a full size bed or large but I also look at privacy, 2 people to an area with direct access to a bathroom. Those that look at exchanging would do well to consider this situation as well for the destination options.

Room occupany in hotels is based on available sleeping arrangements. Some suites are huge but only sleep two in a King size bed.

Very true, my partner and I rented a suite at the Hotel Vogue in Montreal, it was 1,300 square feet but it only slept 2 because there was only sleeping space for 2 people, yet the dining room table could seat 6, there were two full bathrooms, etc.

Hotels mostly look at sleeping area, not really square footage.
