We're thinking of bidding on a week All inclusive, with air..

We're from Canada, and need to know how the whole thing works:)

TIA!!

Basically, the site spells out how it works in its extensive "Customer Care" section. I'd be happy to help you with specific SkyAuction questions. I have successfully bid on several auctions, and I have been quite pleased with the customer service and the things I won.

In a nutshell, make sure to read all of the info provided on the actual description page for each auction. For instance, many of the hotel stays ('Bid per night and choose your length of stay . . .') require an addl. per night fee (usually $32) tacked on to your winning bid. It is spelled out in the listing though. Also. each winning bid warrants a $15 service fee tacked on to your total.

One other thing: if you refer someone to SA and they register with the site, you earn a $5 credit toward a future winning bid. Recently I was able to subtract $25 from my winning bid payment because five freinds had registered. That was nice.

thanks lopo...:)

Here's my question:

The "listing" is for 7 nights, but in the details of the listing, the min/max stay is 30 nights...can we "up" the number of nights from 7 to 14 if we win the auction?

Thanks again!!

mbb, ordinarily the 7 night listings indicate "Minimum/Maximum Stay: 7 nights. " If the option for addl. nights is listed, then you should be able to add on. But, frankly, I do not know if you'd just be able to double your winning bid for twice as many nights or not. That's definitely something I'd contact customer service about instead of just speculating.

I do know that all of the 7 night auctions I bid on only allowed me to win one seven night stay (although I bid on the same pkg. offered anothertime and I was able to book two consecutive 7 night stays for a total of 14 nights.)

HTH!

I emailed skyauction, and they told me that on a 7day listing, you can always request to have it extended...of course, pending availability and price;)

Apparently, the 30 day part that I saw was a typeplate error:)LOL!!

they've since fixed it:crazy:
