Disney the first week of December??? What is the weather like? Would you take pants and jackets or shorts? does it rain a lot then? Is it crowded? do they sometimes offer specials that time of year??? I wanted to go during the week of Thanksgiving, but I heard they dont have the christmas party that week and thats why we wanted to go down so that blows that out of the water....Anyone with any info or suggestions would be great....Ive been to Disney 8 times, but never after October. I would love to go at Christmas time though. We were looking at 2011....

Our last trip was during that time. It was a PERFECT trip IMO (week after Thanksgiving until the first week of Dec). We're from Hawaii (thin blood ) so we of course brought long pants & sweatshirts to be prepared for cooler weather. There was only one day that we really needed a heavier jacket. It didn't rain at all.

There were no crowds, walked onto almost every ride, even though it was Pop Warner week (or whatever you call it). Even transportation to the parks were great, we never waited more than 15 min.

Luckily we got a room only code for 30% off, we stayed at Pop.

It's definitely my favorite time to go.

We went last year the Friday after Thanksgiving through the following week. It is a GREAT time to go. Definitely take both shorts & pants. We have went in December in 2001,2002,2004 & 2005 and we needed pants and sweatshirts I think every trip. However we also wore shorts & tees every trip too. My biggest complaint about going that timeframe is the packing....it is a royal pain in the patootie because you need clothes for all weather. I would even take hats and gloves (those stretchy kind that don't take up much room). Oh...last year we got free dining for our trip. In 2001 & 2002 I think we got a room rate of like $59/night at a value (I miss those days ) and then 2004 & 2005 we scheduled them so we could use AP's (went in Sept 2005 too) so we got the AP room discount. In my experience there is usually some type of discount available for that week.
