Can someone tell me about the coffee makers in the Moderate Resorts?

I understand that it uses pods, but I don' think it is a Kuerig. Is the coffee decent? If not, is there somewhere I could purchase these pods in other flavors/strengths?

They are not like Keurig pods. They look like round teabags. Single cup pods.

The Cuisinart coffee pods are a disk of coffee filter like material with a single serve portion of coffee sealed inside. It's basically a drip coffee maker with these convenient single-serving pods in place of a messy filter and grounds. I think several brands of these filter-pouch-type pods are available if you prefer to bring your own. I thought the ones supplied were very good.

They are low-pressure coffee makers, so plastic containers (like Keurig K-cups) will not work.

Depends on what you call decent coffee! My DH and I are from Upstate NY and we love our Tim Hortons coffee not sure if your familiar with it , or we will drink folgers. Now we have been to Disney quite a few times and this is always a bone of contention with my hubby, the coffee , its the worst in our opinions, but it may be a combination of the sulfur water and horrible coffee which makes it so bad. So this trip 9 days from now we ordered coffee and supplies and bottled water from Garden grocer so we could have a morning cup of coffee that we could actually drink. We are bringing coffee filters from home and will make our own in the room which he is very happy about! So if you are like us and can not live without your morning cup of brew just like homemade! Definatley bring your own! Hope this helps!

Unfortunately if you use tap water the coffee is not as good as when you pay a fortune for water. My local grocery store sells the pods if you want variety. Look at pictures of the pot and pods and you should recognize in the store, brand will not matter. If you just want more, the maids will give you extra if you ask. I usually find one in a hall and ask without any problems.

So, it sounds like I definitely have to bring my own water to use in the pot. Great advice! I will also look into finding the pods to have some variety.

I am drinking the coffee in my room at POR right now, and it is AWFUL! I drink it anyway to tide me over until I get some espresso at the parks. It is a Cuisinart brewer that uses round coffee bags, and brews directly into 2 cups.

We were at POR in March and we were very excited about the new coffee makers/pods...until we had our first taste. It was nasty...and we used bottled water to make it. We would walk to the food court with our refillable mug and use the creamer that we had brought. It was not top of the line, but it was decent and much better than the stuff in our room.

I really liked the Cuisinart coffee. However, I brought along a Britta water filter bottle, so I used filtered tap water to make my coffee.

If you don't like the taste of the water, adding coffee won't make it better.

Good water = good coffee

I bring my own pods....I buy them from coffeerocket.com. Donut Shop Classics brand is much better than the ones that they give you and I use only bottled water to make the coffee.

I brought Starbucks Via packets and just used the pot to make hot water....with bottled water.
