Can someone recommend a good restaurant in Cape May, NJ?

Going there on Tuesday night and not too familiar with the area. We're looking to go somewhere not too pricey, but not too cheap. Maybe a nice Italian restaurant or a steak/burger kind of place? Any suggestions?

The Ugly Mug on the Washington Mall is fun and has good food.

There are also two other restaurants there, one Italian/Pizza type place, but has some good dishes and another restaurant that serve everything from salads to nice entrees, can't remember the name.

There are so many restaurants in Cape May. Another one on the Mall is Jackson Mountain Cafe.

My favorite is the Lobster House. We can't miss it whenever we're there. There is a boat outside which has been converted into an eating area. The flounder francaise is my favorite. By the way, the prices aren't bad at all. It's primarily seafood, but I'm sure they have steak as an option.

We like the Mad Batter. It's in an old Victorian house, although what isn't in Cape May, and has a nice outdoor seating area, plus good food.

Lobster House is good (DFIL works there). If you go there, go early or be prepared to have a long wait. The boat outside does not serve anything but drinks and appitizers after 3 or 4pm.

Definitely the Lobster House, or a place called "Godmother's". Between the two, I like Godmother's (I LOVE Italian food!). They have delicious homemade pasta.

There's also a place on the Mall called Jackson Mountain. It's very clean, and they have delicious burgers and yummy drinks. Very reasonably priced, too.

The hotels Inn of Cape May and Marquis de Lafayette (both on the beach) have good restaurants in them plus you can enjoy an ocean view.

Another vote for the Lobster House!
We ate there the week before last and it was our 2nd dinner there. Fantastic!
We also had some lunch at the Ugly Mug. The food was very good!

I was just there last week and I want to move there! I love Cape May. For Italian, we liked Stumpo's on the mall...right across from the Church.
If you ever go and want to treat yourself and cost is not a factor, go to the Washington Inn.

We spend a long weekend in Cape May every September.
For nice atmosphere, great food and reasonable prices try Mangia, Mangia! across the street from Godmothers. Godmothers is just as good but costs a little more.

We also like Jackson Mt Cafe, the new pizza place across from The Inn at Cape May, and the diner on Beach Ave.

Haven't eaten dinner at the Marquis because we stay there and get breakfast free.

The food and ambience at the Washington Inn are fantastic! We also enjoyed 210 Banks Street (or is it 410? It was 6 years ago!). Food and desserts were delicious.
