Can someone please update me on some things?....

OK so I havent been on Disboards in awhile and I came back the other day feeling kinda lost with all the new info on here. So I am sorry to repeat some questions if they have already been asked, but


1. Is the remember fireworks returning or are they planning a new fireworks show?


2. How are the new projector screens for Fantasmic? Is the quality better? Has anyone heard when they are getting the new dragon and the 2 eels from the Little Mermaid?


3. I heard that there is gonna be a new "Main Street Party thing that isnt a parade. Then I heard there is a new celebration parade with a new parade route. Are these the same thing that I am getting mixed up with, or are they 2 different events?

4. Do they still have that really cool Toy Story animated rotation thing in DCA's Animation Studio?

5. Is Ariels Grotto closes for referb? Every picture I see of it, it looks vacant.

I'm pretty sure it's the same show, it's just gone now because of the repaving on Main Street.

The projectors are nice, but I have't heard anything about the Little Mermaid stuff....hmmmmm I haven't watched the show since last July tho.

I've only heard about the new parade, which will be out in March due to the repaving.

Zoetrope, yes they do. I love that thing!

Not when we were there just a few weeks ago. There were people there eating.

Well... the Remember fireworks show is scheduled for 1/31 and Pres. Weekend at the moment. There are no other fireworks scheduled up through March due to the work being done on Main Street. After that, no one knows as nothing has been shared by Disney.

The new water screens are great. No word on the new dragon and eels, but with Fantasmic! running 7 nights a week until March, I don't imagine there is time to install anything new until after that. This is just a guess.

Well, again, due to the Main Street work, there are currently no parades. the Disneyland web site talks about a Celebration street party. I have not heard or read any further details. I would imagine when the Main Street work nears conclusion, we will hear more.

Yes. That zoetrope is amazing, isn't it?

Ditto. I saw it for the first time last week, had to go back yesterday. Fun to track the path of the little green aliens...

I'll tackle the Ariel's Grotto question. BTW, tackle was pun intended. I have PS for Super Bowl Sunday. I think it looks closed because they don't seem to be using the outside seating as much. Even though it was busy when we were there in Oct., I don't remember many people sitting outside. I understand that when you make PS for AG now, you have to designate whether you want to sit outside or inside. I understand that it is a couple of dollars cheaper to sit outside. I do not know if that was a trial or not, but for my ressie next Sunday, they did take down that I wanted to sit inside.

Just an FYI regarding the schedule...F! is playing as far as the DLR calendar goes right now (through March 8th) and there is a RDCT fireworks show scheduled for March 8th as wel!

OK well thanks for all your help everyone. Any info of any kind is excellent. Its nice to hear what all have to say cause it gives you options to work with. I do hope that Fantasmic will be up by Mid - later May cause thats when I am going.
