Can someone please post the 1-800 # for Disney Reservations?

I think another reason why Disney does not have an 800 number like many other major hotels is the reason people call. Other resorts may get calls to make reservations but fewer repeat calls. Just from discussions on the Dis look how many people call Disney every day to see if there has been a cancellation at Le Cellier or CRT for a certain day (and this is just one example). If Disney would have to pay for those calls it would run into a large expense for no return.

A large expense that would be passed onto us through even higher prices. No thanks, I'll absorb the costs of my calls myself and not be concerned with the huge costs of a toll free line to Disney.

not true. They did have one-I have used it before. They just didnt advertise it. Its not active now.

They did have one (several in fact) but they were never advertised because they were NOT FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC.Any of the 1800# out there are for vendors, contractors, buisness assoc. of disney, and travel agents use.Every so often they get publicized on the forums and within weeks are than shut down.If disney intended them for public use, a) they would not shut them down when they get out and B) they would advertise using the 1800 number. Disney does not have one for the public because they don't need one, people still call and use the web.

Exactly:thumbsup2

It kills me that people act like it costs $100 to call disney, especially today since IMO paying for long distance is almost a thing of the past. I would be very suprised to find someone that logs onto internet forums that doesnt have a cell with LD included, have cable phone that has it, or knows someone with LD included on something.

Now I don't mind calling Disney on a toll number, but don't disregard those of us who live in rural areas. We don't have cable available, so no cable phone and while cell service is available we can't get a signal in our mountainous home. I only use my cell phone at work when I leave the mountain. I suppose I could call disney only when I'm not home but that would make calling and getting those hard to get ressies difficult as I would have to get up and dressed and leave the house by 3:30 to go down town and call Disney by 7:00AM EST. Sometimes people who live in cities think everyone has all of the conveniences at thier finger tips and we in the country sometimes just don't.

There is no universally and publicly available 800, 877, 866 or 888 phone number for Walt Disney.

There are a number of Travel Agent lines which - as each gets posted on the boards - gets shut off.

1-407-W DISNEY

That's the number that's published.

Thanks,

Knox
