what is the deal with the itsy bitsy mickey mouses (or whatever they might be "themed" as) at the resort stores that say if you add water it becomes a TOWEL??!!!!!!!


I do not understand what that means. Is it paper and absorbs the water or what?

Even so, I still wouldn't "get it" because I don't know about you- but when I need a towel, I don't need a WET one. LOL

So what's the deal with those please?

Those are actually face clothes. You wet them and they become pliable enough to open up and use. I have several of them. They are available with many different characters. They are not paper. They actually are terry cloth face towels.

They are quite good actually. Maybe a little on the firm side, but they make good presents for younger folks back home. I have given them to some of my violin students.

Oh okay. Face towels makes more sense because those ARE usually used wet. LOL

So are they just plain white and the "thrill" is how it's packaged and all? Or are they designed or shaped like mickey ears or what? Just curious.

They have a print or picture on them. The paper picture is what will be on the towel.

Oh, my we have tons of those!! Great stocking stuffers. We have princesses, the whole gang, Mickey and Minnie. They used to sell them in TDS, not sure anymore. Yes, whatever picture you see on the package is the picture that will be on the wash cloth.

I just got my DDs one each at Old Navy for Valentine's Day. One was hearts and one was flowers. Right away they wanted to see them so they got out a bowl of water, soaked them and then hung them in their bathroom.

Great, fun gift!!

After you expand them they stay that size when they are dry.

Yes they stay the larger size after they are dry, which is the size of a face cloth or wash cloth.

If you sew two of them together and stuff them with a pillow form they make really cute throw pillows for the kids rooms. My kids usually pick up a few every trip and then we do this.
