Can someone please explain the thinking behind booking throw away FPs

Thank you for this thread. Its a strategy I havent thought of using before but probably due to we are RD people and can do multiple rides on same attraction even during Christmas but I would like to do this in September.

When you say tap out are you doing that instead of having your FP expire since it can free up an extra hour? If you let a FP expire does that count as “used”too?

Thank you.

Watch the FP entrance for LWTL long enough and you’ll typically see a few folks “tap out.” This always makes me sad - we love that ride!

DH and I did that last year. Don't worry, though, we had already gone on it twice!
It was just the easiest throw away as it's so close to Soarin'.

1. Yes.
2. Yes.
3. Yes.
BUT... there's even more "life" to an "expired FP" than most people know.
If you let a FP expire, that FP can actually still be RE-SCHEDULED (yes, after its original window has passed)
to any available attraction FP in the same park.

Thank you for taking thr time to answer my questions.

Regarding what I quoted above, if I do not reschedule, can I still make my fourth FP after the third is used or expired?

If I use a First Tier, Im guessing I cannot reschedule my last expired T2 FP for a T1 is this correct?

Do you know the approximation of how long you can reschedule if a FP expired?

Thank you again!

Correct.

To re-book a FP that you did not use that same day... no time limit.

FWIW, my experience is that you cannot let two tier-2s expire and be able to then book a Tier-1 as your 4th FP. But letting one Tier-2 expire and then tapping another out Tier-2 will let you book a second Tier-1 as your 4th.

Thank you very much!

Thank you. But if the last one expires, I can book fourth when the third should have ended, is that correct.

This is very helpful to me. Thank you so much!

Mind blown. It can be rescheduled? How?
