Can someone please explain Photopass connection?

Hello, I've been reading past threads am not 100% sure I have this right.
Me: I have an AP (not activated yet)
Family Members: ( confirmed hard tickets purchased through an outside source as hard tickets...I guess we will convert to their Magic Bands upon hotel arrival).

So, two family members are part of my family and friends.

If they have pictures taken and I am NOT there, do they simply scan their magic bands and BECAUSE they are part of my family and friends group, I will automatically have the ability to see the pictures?

I know they can't download them, only me. I just want to make sure their photos appear in my photo file.

Correct as long as you have an AP that includes the Photopass option. The lower tier ones don't include it

You'll get everyone's pictures as long as their linked to your friends and family list. You don't even have to be in Orlando to get them.

But how does the system know they are in my family and friends? That's what I find confusing. Let's step back and think about this. Mr. Husband is in my family and friends, and so is Daughter #2 (they have hard tickets). Not sure if they are going to convert the Hard Tickets to their magic bands. But regardless, they ARE listed as being in my room, under my reservation #

Daughter #1 and boyfriend are under another reservation (both are in my family and friends)...and I"m not sure what ticket system they will use. Let's assume they buy something at front desk upon check in.

So, since all of them are in my family and friends, their magic bands will connect them to my F&F list? I just find it so confusing....

Tickets and/or reservations have nothing to do with it.

All that matters is that they show up on your MDE account as friends and family. They can be either family managed by you, or have their own account that is linked to yours. But as long as they show up in your MDE, then anytime they have a pic taken and scan their band, that pic will show up in your MDE account and you (since you have an AP) can download it.

It's all controlled by your MDE account.

Just remember that nothing is actually on the magic bands. The bands have rfid's inside. You ride a ride the system automatically senses your band and sends your photos to your mde account. Has nothing to do with the type of ticket or reservation.

Everyone who is linked together sees everyone's pictures due to the sharing features. Just the ap has the ability to download

Somehow all my recent photos aren't of us at all, I don't know how they keep getting it wrong
