I am looking to book WL for Dec 06 this month and I had a quick question. If I book now with Disney and then a code comes out or I get a PIN number and I call Disney to change it will I be charged the $50 fee? If so, if you book with a TA can you avoid this $50 fee. :confused3 :confused3

I think I read somewhere that the $50 change fee was only for the BRP but I want to make sure.

Thanks for any help :earboy2:

I think the $50.00 fee occurs olny when cancelling, not changing an existing reservation.

If you make a room only ressie, and need to cancel or apply a new code, you will not have any problems. I think you have up until 5 days prior to arrival to receive a full refund.

Make sure you clarify with the CM when making the ressie....Sometimes package deals have stricter cancellation rules, and I know you must cancel much farther in advance than with room only. :)

BRP used to have a $50 change fee...if you made any changes to your reservation that didn't result in a higher price tag you had to pay it. It wasn't for cancellations; if you cancelled you would just forfeit your deposit, which was probably a lot more than 50 bucks.

I understand BRP has done away with the change fee but I am not fully certain of that.

Nobody could book BRP for December 6 now anyway.

I don't know what the rules are for package deals. For a room only reservation you would pay a one night deposit which would be refunded upon cancellation if done more than 6 days from the date of checkin.
