Here is something to consider. Ask yourself what about the flight bothers you. This can be done from the comforts of your living room couch. Imagine you're on a plane. Explore every inch of it....the cabin, the crew, the seats, the restrooms, even the engine if you like. Then envision the flight itself. Where are you sitting? What would it be like to sit by the window (remeber you're still in your living room)? What is take off like, how is the weather, is the flight smooth or bumpy...how is the landing? What about the flight is enjoyable, and what is irritating or frustrating to you? Once you have fully experienced all of this in a "safe" place, it might just make your real flight a bit more tolerable, and over time even enjoyable! There is a reason to all of our fears, it's getting to the root and dealing with them from there that will allow us to overcome them. Yes the drugs will get you through the flight, but the fear will continue to exist until it is addressed. Hope this helps.
