Can someone help me with a Niagra Falls question?

Hi Canadians! I'm heading to Niagra Falls next week - coming thru New York on the thruway. Is there a particular bridge that is best/easiest to cross over into Canada? My DH and I have never driven into Canada so are hoping to make it as uncomplicated as it can be. We do have our passports, which I know is needed to get back into the US.

Most convenient would be the Rainbow bridge as it will deposit you in Niagara Falls. However, for a first-timer, it is not the easiest to get to unless you have a gps that can direct you.

There are 3 bridges you can cross and most of the time it's not too bad crossing into Canada - not much of a wait. The other direction is another matter. DO NOT cross into the States via the Queenston/Lewiston bridge.

Anyway, for ease of crossing, either the Peace bridge or Queenston/Lewiston are directly off of the I-190.

I would take Rainbow bridge too. It will take you right into the tourist area of Niagara Falls Ontario

We were just there 2 weeks ago. We crossed into Canada on the Peace Bridge, zero wait at 9am. We returned on the Rainbow Bridge at 4:45pm on a weekday and had to wait 25 minutes. Have Fun!

we cross every other week, we only use the Rainbow Bridge, I don't think we've waited longer than a half hour - other than the nights of Bills or Sabres games.

We crossed back into the U.S. across the Peace Bridge on this past Sunday at around 5:00 p.m. It took us 45 minutes to get across. We were coming from Toronto.

While I know everyone says the Rainbow Bridge, and I TOTALLY agree with that....I will depend on what time you are going to be crossing. IF you can hit the Peace Bridge early in the morning, and I do mean at least before 1000, then cross there. That will be your easiest. If not, then head down to Rainbow, and cross at that bridge. When you get there, it may look really busy, and be full BUT it tends to go through real quick.

I cross weekly, sometimes more, and Rainbow is always the best bet, unless you can hit the Peace real real early. AND never cross Queenston Lewiston.
