An Incredipass has no blackout dates. If I look at available park reservations calendar for Dec 24 under Annual passes, it shows no reservations available. But if I look at Dec 24 under Park Tickets, it shows available. So, does this mean that Disney hasn't 'Blacked out" the date, but just isn't letting me make a reservation since I'm a pass holder? If my Incredipass has no blackout dates, why cant I make a park reservation when a regular park ticket holder can? What am I missing??

Just guessing here as I don't have an AP.
Does it have a park pass reservation limit and maybe you've reached your limit?

AP and regular ticket holders essentially pull from different reservation buckets. So the dates with no availability, the AP bucket of reservations has been all taken. You just have to keep checking hoping for cancelations. This is one of the downfalls of the park reservation system with AP's. This is the big issue that is going on in Disneyland right now. There are no available reservations for AP's for weeks.

The "bucket" for AP holders is full and the "bucket" for park tickets is not full.

In other words, they have a certain number of reservations for APs and day tickets. You can book whichever park is available and probably PH in the afternoon to the "sold out" park.

So theoretically Disney could only allow 100 Annual pass holders a day and still advertise "no blackout dates"? Wow, talk about a bait and switch. I've seen some used car dealers with better scruples. Thanks for your answer tho.

If you’re looking at MK, it’s not available for anyone that day.

I was looking for any park, not necessarily MK. I just find it misleading to advertise no blackout dates, but to then shut you out via some other method. Live and learn I suppose 🥴

Just because Incredipass availability is taken up doesn’t mean that it was unfairly limited in the first place. I’m guessing Incredipass owners reserve early and often (as compared to day ticket folks)

The Incredi annual pass has no "block out" dates.

ALL guests must make park reservations no matter what kind of pass/ticket they have.

There is a finite number of park reservations in each pool; AP, MYW Tickets and AP as a Disney Hotel Guest.

Block Out dates and Park Reservations are two different things.

No bait and switch, buying hasn't guaranteed anyone entry to a park since reservations began.

And this makes park reservations very important to make asap.

This is how it’s been since re-opening. If you make your reservation early enough, you have no block out.

I have been lucky a few times and got the reservation I couldn’t get at one day before or same day. Just keep trying, you might get the luck of the draw.

Ya, their is no blockout if you make your reservations early. No bait and switch, you knew purchasing that you needed a park reservation, and those park reservations can be fully allocated on busy days. …I just avoid busy days, or reserve well in advance (ie the 50th)

No blackout dates doesn’t mean unlimited availability. Disney has set limits on how many of each ticket type can enter each park every day. The same limited availability can be said of any ticket type. Limiting attendance is exactly what park reservations are meant to do. There isn’t anything sneaky on Disney’s part going on. These are the most popular days of the year to visit. Other people have been making park reservations all year. I guess the lesson you should learn is to plan earlier if you want to go the busiest week of the year.

Amen.

But I just checked. I don’t have a resort reservation, so looked for AP only. 803CF81A-CBFC-4A11-AD1F-E30CBB9EA598.png

The only park unavailable for December 24th without a resort reservation is MK. Can’t check whats showing for APs with a resort reservation, but I can’t believe that would show absolutely no parks available. So not quite sure what the OP is looking at. 🤷🏻‍♀️

You're right! I thought I'd selected 'all parks' but had actually selected MK next to it, and now see the other parks are available! Thanks for helping me out! I'm still disappointed to learn about available 'buckets'. I believed that as long as park reservations were available I could get one, but now understand this is not the case and my pool is much smaller than I thought it was .

I recall some reports that AP reservations were available when the ticket reservations were not, so your pool may not always let you down.
