Can someone help me re: flying

I bought a couple locks today at OfficeMax for $8. They have the TSA # on the bottom. I don't believe those baggage people are trustworthy. (IMO

I happen to be one of "those baggage people". Granted, there are a few bad apples, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't lump all of us together with them.

I am a freak out traveler... Meaning I freak about everything, I am nervous I will miss the flight, it will be delayed, or have issues. I am worried that we will arrive and our ressie will be lost, I worry about it all!

We have to carry a Neubulizer for ds7's asthma -- it's in a small bag that looks like an igloo and is probably 12" x 8". Will that count as one of our carry-on's?

Medical equipment NEVER counts as one of your carryons! We fly with DS's nebulizer and DH's BiPAP and while we have had an overzealous flight attendant stop us one time on AA for carrying on "all those bags" when we informed her that 2 of our "bags" were medical equipment and asked her if she wanted to look at them, she actually apologized and mumbled something about having a bad day.

We generally fly Southwest domestically and never ever have had a problem with them!

Enjoy and don't stress too much. Just give yourself plenty of time and keep smiling...after all, you're going to Disney!

I measured the carry on "case" but the wheels and stand take about another 1 1/2" so it's 22 + the 1 1/2. Does that matter? Where does it go if it gets "gate checked"? Do they bring it back when you get off or do I have to get if from the luggage area? Thanks!!

Gate checked stuff - you can take it down the jetway almost to the door of the airplane. They will take it from you at that point, tag it and give you a ticket, and they load it in the front of the cargo hold. When you get off the plane, just step to the side out the door, and they will bring gate checked items there. It's usually not a big deal at all, just step to the side so you don't hold up the people who don't have gate-checked stuff.
