I will be in Disney June 5-15 (We have a home down there). I am interested in staying at the BWV (2 bedroom) for the 12, 13, and 14. It has been suggested to me on these boards that I should "rent" points instead of making reservations through Disney (CRO).

I was able to figure out that a "common price" is $10 per point. However, how many points do I need per night for my stay? Are the resorts different in price? Do the views change the points needed?

As always, I know the members of the DIS won't let me down.

Glenn,

Since standard view rooms would be unlikely to be available at this point. You would need 190 points for the 3 days in a preferred 2 bedroom. Thursday the 12th would be 40 points and Friday and Saturday would be 75 each.

As many will tell you here, it is usually not an advantage to rent points for weekends as you are likely to get a cash ressie cheaper. If you were renting for an entire week, you should be able to come out ahead by renting points.

I'm assuming that when you say a "cash ressie" you mean just call Disney and use my Cisney Club Card or my Annual Pass discount (if there is one).

Yes, there may be some discounts there or Disney may issue some discount codes for that period in the next month or 2. You can look on Mousesavers.com for info on current discount codes.
