we are new to this dvc renting points thing, my question is, how much would it be to rent points for 7 days (the monday after thanksgiving) adding the dining plan, and two tickets (adult) park hopper? we were wondering if it is the same price or what any help would be appreciated. thanks so much

Well it depends on where you want to stay. The point charts are listed at the top of the page I believe and you can figure out how many points you will need and the approx cost per point is $11-12.

Dining plan is 37.99 for adults per day and 10.99 per child. Tickets you will buy on your own.

As cobbler mentioned, you really need to provide more details such as what resort you want to stay at and what type of accomodations you would need (studio, 1 bdrm, etc.). Once you determine that, you can easily use the links at the top of this page to find out how many points you'd need to rent. You can add the dining plan yourself and start scouting around for the best price on tickets as the DVC member cannot provide you with any special discounts or anything. Really, you're just negotiating the accomodations with the DVC member...nothing else.

sorry for not posting but we would like the boardwalk and i guess a studio would be fine not sure of the difference again only 2 adults so nothing too big

Well the Monday after Thanksgiving for 7 nights in a studio at BW with a standard view would be 85 points. Approx cost $935 - 1105 + dining and tickets. For a preferred view or guaranteed boardwalk view it would be 104 points. So you are looking at $1144 - 1352 + dining and tickets.

But this is a popular time for DVC members so you might be out of luck for a standard or Boardwalk view studio. You might be able to get a preferred view but that could be difficult as well. Members were able to make reservations for this time frame back in early January. Visit the rent/trade board to see if there is anything avail and to put in your request.
