I did a cruise two years ago for DH birthday. I booked it 90 days in advance and the cost was $120 for 1 hour or 1.5 hours. We departed at Yacht Club Marina and sailed throughout the MGM/EPCOT Lagoon (not inside EPCOT).
Then, for the fireworks, they positioned us just under the British Isles/French bridge. It was great. We tipped the driver and had a great evening.
My dh thought it was expensive, but I pointed out to him that because we had 6 in the boat, it was roughly $20 per person. Well worth missing the crowds.
These are hard to get. If you are interested, you need to be calling first thing in the morning at the 90 day mark. It's called the Illuminations Cruise. There is also a Wishes Cruise.
I haven't actually been on one so I don't have any information about that.
We took the Illuminations Cruise six years ago after our wedding ceremony and really enjoyed it. Because you are positioned under a brige, you will not be able to see the full effect of all of the laser lights and buildings lighting up, but it is still better than fighting crowds for a position.
I agree with the above poster, call on the morning of the 90-day mark.
