What exactly is E-ride Night? Is it when the park stays open later and only a select number of people are allowed to stay?

Is this still available and if so, how do I get the tickets?

E-Ride Nights are offered on a limited basis.

It is open to Disney resort guests, and here's how it works:

You purchase a ticket at your hotel. At a certain time, you exchange it at one of a few different locations at the Magic Kingdom. (Magic Kingdom is the only park to offer the E-Rife Nights)

Then, the park closes and the big ticket rides are open for 3 hours after regular park closing. (Splash, Big Thunder, Space, Buzz Lightyear among a few others....)

E-ride Night is definately worth it. If you go, I would go during the week. When we did it, we went on a Tuesday and Friday night. Tuesday night was less crowed than Friday and you got to ride the rides more often.

Friday was still less crowed than during regular operating hours and you had some small lines. That is why I say Tuesday was better, because you walked right on the rides.

Is this only for people staying onsite?

What about people staying offsite who have PH passes?

E-ticket is open only for guests staying onsite. Guests participating in E-night buy their tickets at their hotel and then the day of the event pick up the tickets in Magic Kingdom. There will normally be signs showing you where to go. Unfortunately, the only thing that will let you take advantage of E-night is if you are staying at a Disney Resort.

This is so funny, I came on here to ask about this and here it was! I love this site! I've gone to DW for years, never knew about this 'perk', is it something new or just a little secret?

Oh well. We have a timeshare available to us offsite, and as awesome as E-night may be, it doesn't beat $500 for 7 nights in a 2 story condo.

Maybe someday they'll open it up to the locals and the off site folks.

I really don't have the exact date as to how long E-night has been around, but I think I was about 9 or 10 when it started, so around 97. They always have a certain amount of people that can go on E-night, and sometimes they are sold-out, but sometimes they aren't. It all depends on when you go.

The first nite we did e-night, we stood in line forever at the table set up beside City Hall on main street. Lost about 45 minutes e-ride time!! Not to mention fought the departing crowds once the parade was over. The next night, we made our way, during the last nitetime parade, to the photo area of Splash Mountain. They were trading the tickets for braclets there and since Splash Mountain was one of the e-night rides, we started riding just as soon as they started with the e-night event.!!!!! Much better!
