we are staying at the doubletree at downtown disney with DH hilton points. We can book one night and link all 6 days to the FP+ system?

Sure. It's when you book one night (the first or second night of your vacation, depending on if you want free parking for one day or two) at the cheapest possible WDW onsite hotel. Set up an account through My Disney Experience, link your reservation and your tickets and you can make FP+ for the length of your tickets.

You can make FP+ 60 days before your "throwaway room" check-in date.

I'm staying at Wyndham BC next month for 10 days beginning 04/23, with 7 day park tickets. I booked a campground for 04/23 for $90 (including all taxes) that I have no intention of using. I am going to check-in so I get free parking on the 24th when we drive to the MK, but you don't have to check in if you don't have a car.

I was able to book FP+ for 7 days (I have 7 day tickets) over my 10 day vacation. If I had 5 day tix, I could book Fp+ for 5 days, if I had 10 day tix I could book for 10 days.

Make sense?

eta - I have no idea how the DTD hotels work. If you can book FP+ if you stay there, then you can book one night there as your throwaway room. I know you can't with Swan/Dolphin.

Someone just posted on another thread that WDW has closed this loophole and you can only book FP+ for the days of your WDW hotel reservations.
I had booked a room for a night at the beginning of our Bonnet Creek stay, but I don't have tickets linked yet. I really hope that they are wrong and FP+ can still be booked for the entire length of my tickets.

Can't hurt to try!

I just linked 2 more tickets (for people who were already on my campsite reservation) last night and made FP+ for them for 2 days after our check-out date.

.

Right, Disney is starting to close the loophole. They are slowly rolling fp+ to everyone, but I know there are still glitches in the system. Some can prebook, others can't. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to why some can't and others can. How far away is your trip? I'd probably just wait it out and see how things are as you get closer to your trip.

Are you guys sure? A lot of people don't understand that you can only book 60 days out, so you can only do FP+ one day at a time if you just have the throwaway night. Has anyone confirmed that it didn't work if it was within the 60 days?

If you stay onsite the whole time, you can do all your FP+ 60 days from your arrival date. It's different with just one night.

I still have my throwaway night.....all of my FP+ booked.....now, what happens if I cancel my throwaway night after 3/31 when FP+ is opened to offsite guests?

Will I need to re-book ALL of my FP+?
