Can someone check consumer reports for Dell Studio 17

DD is interested in buying this computer. Sale ends tonight. Libraries closed. Not a subscriber and dont really want to become one for one computer. Does anyone have any info about this particular computer ? anyone subscribe to Consumer Report and would be willing to check out the laptops for me?? I hate computers and they hate me!!! LOL. i just posted it on your other thread, but the newest issue of Consumer Reports is on laptops-you might want to pick it up, in addition to ratings it has a lot of general knowlege stuff.
ETA-they liked the version of the studio 17 available at Best Buy.
If I may hop up on my soapbox for a moment-is DD sure she wants a 17"-the extra size is awesome for movies,but a beast to lug to/from school (will she bring it on a bus/train/plane if she comes home? Will she want to use it on wifi around campus? Trek downtown to pop out that term paper in a coffee shop?)
I recommend going to Staples/Best Buy or the like and lifting, touching/typing on them. Something as little as not liking where the USB ports are can get to be annoying if you're plugging in your iPod every day.
