Can someone answer these two questions?

I have two questions about our upcoming trip.

1. Our 9:35am flight has been changed to 11am and says it will be arriving in Orlando for 1:50. I made 5:30pm dinner reservations at Ohana for that night. Do you think we'll still be able to make them? We're staying at CSR and it's going to be in December, so maybe check in won't take that long. I just know we'll be cutting it close. Just please tell me 3 hours from the airport to the hotel to the restaurant is enough.

2. Can I upgrade my 7 day park hopper to an 8 day park hopper once I get to Disney? Do I have to do it before I use the tickets? Has anyone ever done this?

Thanks so much for yall help!

1) 3 hours should be enough-1 hour to get from MCO to CBR-1 hour to check in and get carry on bags stored if room not ready or to go check out room if ready-1 hour to take bus from CBR to MK and boat or monorail to Poly. Have you tried calling the airline to see if they have an earlier flight they can put you on?

2) I think you just have to upgrade before they expire. I upgraded 6 day tickets to 8 days on my 5th day there. You can do it any guest relations office. I did it at Downtown Disney but I'm pretty sure you can do it at the hotel as well as any park.

Thanks!
I can't really change the outgoing flight because it's the earliest flight they have that day. But it sucks because that is a BIG difference in time! It might work out for the best because we have to leave so early to get to the airport anyway.
And that's good to know about the tickets. We might be able to go to the parks the morning we leave because our flight home has been pushed back as well. If we think we'll have time we'll have to add a day to them.

I depends on what your mode of transportation is to DW. If it's ME then, I'd go with what the above poster said.
If you're renting a car, you can always drive to the Poly (if you don't think you'll have enough time to check in) and park there, which is free if you're dining there, and eat. Then, go to your hotel and check-in. However, if you purchased the DDP, I suppose you'd have to check in first...ummm...in which case you'd be better off doing the last post thing ...lol...I'm no help, am I?

I think you should probably make it in time. Even if your a tad late they'll probably still let you in.

Yes you can upgrade your tickets!

Have a great trip!!!

Our flight arrived at MCO at 2:30, we went to baggage claim - stood there FOREVER only to finally hear an announcement that our flights bags were at a different bag claim - It took almost an hour to get our ONE checked bag (yeah - I HATE checking bags, but my friend HAD to because she needed more than 3 oz contact solution) then we got our rental car and drove to the hotel. Got checked in, went to our room, UNPACKED, sat for a few moments and then headed to EPCOT for our 5:50 reservations at Le Cellier. We arrived there at 5:20. (and had a very short wait)

I don't know how the timing will work with ME, if you're using it, but it SHOULD be fine.

Then again, the one time we did use Disney bus for transportation it took us almost 40 minutes go go from Downtown Disney to Port Orleans Riverside. Completely ABSURD! So, I don't know how long you should allow if busing from your resort to the Poly! I will NEVER use their busses again. (monorail and boats are fine)

WE also had a fairly long ride to POR. That was one of the things we disliked about our stay there. We were the fourth stop. On a quickie trip to AMSu we were the first stop - go figure.

Anyhow three hours should be enough. If you are running into an issue, delayed flight, etc., you can tell your hotel at check in, and maybe the concierge at your resort can help.

You can change your tickets any time within 14 days of first use. Changing them a second time is more tricky. The cost is pretty minimal, but you never know...someone could get sick or something, or you might want to do DTD that day or something. SoI think there are several reasons why it's better to do it later in the trip. Personally, I'd choose to do it late in the day too, when there are no lines - like maybe on your seventh night.
