Hi,

We'll be doing HHN for the first time on 10/30 (just HHN, we aren't going to the park so Stay & Scream isn't an option) and have Express Passes.

Could someone give me some guidance as to what time to arrive (event is supposed to start at 7), perhaps a touring plan that works well to get through both parks efficiently, and a recommendation whether it's useful to valet park to save time?

Thanks so much!

Martha

It starts at 6:30 not 7:00. Be there at the entrance to IOA as soon as you can before 6:30. I would suggest that you arrive by 6:00 PM.

6 at the latest I say.

I'll just say what I've been telling people...
They will try and push you into Marvel saying that, "nothing is open this way!" Don't listen to them, go towards Suess. Horrors in Wax and Ghost Town open at around 6. After doing Wax and Ghost Town a few times, Vampyr, Hellgate, and Horror Night Nightmares should be open at around 6:30 and you'll be right there.

From what everyone's been saying the waits at the beginning of the night are nothing compared to later so if you have express and come upon waits of 10-15 min, I would suggest not using it. That way you can go back later when the waits are 60 min + and be able to skip that long wait.

If you have Express, you don't need much of a plan. Simply plot out a route that doesn't involve backtracking, since you'll have to cover a large distance to begin with. I suggest the route shown on the virtual tour on the website.

I would try and get to the parking lot WAYYY before 6pm. I have been in the area trying to just get around there just around 6pm, and all roads near US are PACKED.

Best advice...get there around 4pm, hang out around CityWalk, then proceed to the gate at IOA and hang out there. Bring a book..LOL...

I also am going the 30th....Have a great time

Thanks Dax for more good advice. Hope we both have a great night there!

I would like to toss in... Make a reservation now at a Citywalk eatery for 4-430, Food at US/IOA is less than desireable.

After having been I can't agree with the above statement more. After a bumpy start (other couple forgot tickets and express was sold out and it took alot of begging to get them to sell them to them) we were late getting in so we forgot to get a map and just kinda went by the seat of our pants for a while. We did alot of backtracking. Definitely plan a route.
