I think it has to do with cheerleaders and football players.. major deal first part of December... per all the post on here! I think we should stay clear of that time frame.

If I remember right from high school it is the national organization for kids/teen football.

It's a time, if you do not want to be around girls constantly cheering and boys rough-housing, that you do not want to be on the value resort park buses, stay at the values and even some of the moderates!!! We rescheduled our whole trip by pushing it back a week because of the horror stories i've heard about going during Pop Warner week!

Football & cheerleader version of baseball's Little League. We have never been there with them.

You also have lots of competition cheer events, those girls are all ages - right up through high school. Have been with those.
Little effect in the parks but nighttime at the resort was a nightmare.

I wouldn't tell anyone they should absolutely steer clear at that time, because the crowds were manageable, but I know we will never go back the first week in Dec!

Pop Warner is a famous football coach back in the 20's and 30's. He coached the Temple Owls in Philadelphia when the program was started to help keep kids off the street and playing athletics.

yah there that Cheerleading and Football thinger. haha. I've heard 1 too many "POP WARNER" horror stories to keep me out of WDW in early Dec....

i was there the week of the whole pop warner thing and it was pretty annoying.its a great time to go-the weather is great, no wait on the lines but i would try to stay at a moderate resort next time and stay clear of the all stars.
