Can Pop Cm book our return seats on Airtran?

We go to the business center (at the convention center) at GF to print our AirTran boarding passes. It states that there is a charge, but every time I've done it, it hasn't even taken 5 minutes, so I've never been charged.

We usually take the monorail from MK, get something to eat at the food court, and then my DS and DH play video games while I go and print the boarding passes.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think DW has told me that you can reserve your seats via phone too. The issue with Airtran is that you don't have seat assignments when you buy a ticket and you can't get a seat assignment until 24 hours before flight. Printing out the boarding pass isn't the concern, at least it shouldn't be. It's easy enough to get a printed boarding pass when you check your luggage at the airport. The concern is getting the seat assignments locked in.

I'm pretty sure DW did ours last year via phone.

This board has been so helpful in planning my trip! So thanks to all for the advice! I feel the DIS is a great resource and my trip will be much less stressful and enjoyable because of it!!! :teeth:

Thanks again!!!!!! :goodvibes

We had paper tickets with AirTran in December, so it wouldn't let me do online check-in. I called AT, and they said that they couldn't do seat assignments over the phone, only on the webpage. So, we had to wait until the next day when we got to the airport.

We just used Airtran last week. We did have paper tickets, but they had computers for people to do check in right next to their Airport check in and if you used AirTran.com to buy tickets there was a special "faster" line. Also, I e-mailed Airtran about three monthes before our flight about seat assignments because I have two small children and had car seats that needed to be next to windows and they gave me my seat assignments then. And that's exactly what I got!!! My neighbors are using them in Dec and also called to ask about seat assignements because they are traveling with small children, they got there's as well.

Also both at PHL and MCO, they just weigh your luggage and tag it, you have to take it to the belt, which is right there, but I've never done that before. Of course I haven't flow in 5 years so this may be true everywhere.

Perhaps they have changed it, but my in-laws had to go early and do all of that at the airport because Pop couldn't do so for AirTran. Or maybe, they had a bum CM who didn't want to help. Either way, on their departure on 10/13, Pop wouldn't print it out. Just a heads up. Apparently, some people have had luck with this. We didn't, so be prepared for for either answer.
It depends on what side of the counter you go to. If you go to to the Front Desk side, their computers do not have access to the website. The Lobby Concierge side does.

If you go to the Resort Airline Check-in desk, they cannot either.

Only the Lobby Concierge desk can.

We always print our own boarding passes for Airtran while on Disney property. You can go to any business center at WDW. I use the GF business center. They allow you free computer usage and printing of boarding passes. We use Airtran but it doesn't matter what airline. When we stay at the CR in December we will be using the CR business center. I love that you can go online 24 hours before the flight and chose your seats.

For our return flight in Jan., I called AirTran the night before our flight, explined I did not have internet access at my hotel location and would like to get our seat assignments. It was no problem at all.
