Here is an odd question. Can a pooh sized person do the Expedition Everest 5k?
My husband and I are going in Sept and wanted to do this race however we are pooh sized and not sure we would be able to do it and really do not want to stand out, looking ridiculous. Are there any people that just walk the race?
I have searched the threads and read various reports on the EE 5k but these are always from runnners who did it with ease.
Has any larger sized person tried to walk the race? I would love to try and be involved in something like this as I used to run 5k's over ten years ago.
But after marriage, two kids and the need for now two knee replacements, I would only be able to walk the race.
I know there are some 5k's you can walk but then there are some races that are strictly a running race.
I am hoping that by asking this question maybe others would want to participate even if they arent stellar athletes anymore.
Well I look forward to the responses.

Also in regards to the EE race in particular, how hard are the obstacle course items? Are they doable again by a pooh sized person?
thanks everyone.

Yes you can!!!!! You will see all shapes and sizes at any Disney race.....even the marathon.
The obstacle course last year was a few scramble nets to go over and under.....not very high or hard, I did not do this race, but I did see it.

Please come and join us on the WISH pages, we are really friendly and we have walkers, joggers, runners and wheelers of all shapes and sizes, and as for Pooh sized I'm a clydesdale when a race has that class!!!!!!

Thanks for responding. I was hoping that others would respond to let me know how the races are and if I would humiliate myself be entering.

I used to do 5k's years ago but ten years later am in need of two knee replacements. The problem is I am too young to get a knee replacement. I still walk so I could walk the race but was unsure of how that would go over, and when you spend this much money you want to make sure it will be a nice experience not a horrific one.

I was hoping to try this race with my husband. We will be there for our anniversary so it just seemed like a nice thing to do.

Is there anyone out there who can give us first hand info on the race. Are there people who dont finish? If so how bad is that? I just wouldnt want to taint my favorite place in the world with a negative experience.

My brain says, yeah go for it,how cool would this new experience be? But the body is saying hmm, not sure if this is a good idea.

I would love to join you on the WISH boards, I just dont have a clue where they are lol

Can you PM me and lead the way???

Thanks again. :)
