Can points in holding be shifted to an already booked reservation

We are taking a trip in November thanksgiving week and another January 1. If we have a few of the days waitlisted on the November trip and they come through before 7 days and we end up with points in holding, can we use those points on our January reservation by shifting out some of the already designated points? Not sure if I am explaining this clearly!

Correct. 60 days of you booking the reservation

Yes. That is your issue. The unit has to be available inside 60 days to use holding points.

On a new reservation with an arrival date less than 60 days away.

Basically the policy is you get to book last minute (less than 60 days) since you cancelled last minute (less than 31 days). You could have the waitlist set to expire at 31 days which would allow you to move those points to the other reservation or bank them. Or if you really want your waitlist rather than what you have currently booked you could do the 7 day cancellation and just take a loss on the extra points.

If you wanted to add days to your existing reservation, you could use the holding points to book new nights at 60 days out and then get them to link the two reservations.
