My Grandmother uses a wheelchair to get around, she can walk, but not too well, she has REALLY bad arthritis in her legs..She rode a few things, like The Great Movie Ride @ MGM and the Haunted Mansion @ MK, stuff like that..Stuff they can stop is fine, that she can just walk onto..What about Pirates of The Carribean or Maelstrom in Norway @ EPCOT? I know she cant get into the boat of Its a Small World, and I forget what Maelstrom is like? Is it a steep step into the boat? Also what about Pirate's? If anyone can help, that would be great..I dont want her to attempt to ride these, then have to leave cause she cant.

Thanks!

The information page for Guests With mobility disabilities on the main site has an accessibility list - I think Sue and others may also have a better post about this, I will try to dig it up a little later if they con't beat me to it. :)

It's a Small World has a wheelchair boat with a ramp so your grandmother can ride it.

Small World, the boat ride in Mexico and Listen to the Land at Epcot all have the same type of ramped boats that wheelchairs can drive right on to. Maelstrom and Pirates don't have a ramped boat and is a fairly large step down to get in. The boats on thos e rides are fairly similar to the regular Small World boats.
CLICK HERE for a link to DIS general disability info.. If you scroll all the way toward the bottom of the page, you will find a list of which rides a wheelchair user can stay in their wheelchair for.
