Hi DISers! I tried to find the answer to this ? but had no luck! Wondering if my 11 year old daughter could ride with her 5 year old sister OR if my 14 year old son could ride with his 2.5 year old little brother? I know that they have to be 7 to ride by themselves but can't remember the other part. :/ TIA :)

If you are in the same ride vehicle as them they can sit by each other in the seats in front of you.
I think this varies depending on the ride. I saw a dad with twin 6-year-olds taken off Screamin because he had them sitting next to each other with him behind, and obviously he couldn't sit next to both of them since there are two seats per row, so they had to exit without riding. I felt really bad because I was behind them in line, and the kids were so excited to be riding for the first time. I'm sure you won't be taking your 2.5 year old on Screamin, but I thought I would mention my experience just in case it applies to any other rides as well. But it sounds like you should be covered, because if necessary you and the 14yo could each ride with a young one and the 11yo could ride alone.

That is a bummer! Lucky for me I have myself, my husband, plus my parents all there to help plus my 14 year old part of the time. Just wanted to know what configurations would work with my other kids ages 2.5, 5, 7, 9 & 11. :O Thank you for your input!

It definitely depends on the CM and ride vehicle. My husband was able to take both kids (2 and almost 5 at the time) on Gadget’s coaster. They let the older one sit in front of him. This year she’ll be 7 when we go, so fortunately we won’t have to worry about that as we’ll also have a 20 month old and four year old. I know mothers who have taken their young children to the park alone and it can be a challenge when you have several under 7.

Any under 7 have to be with someone 14 or older on any rides. They have allowed my 5yo GD ride beside an under 14 with an adult behind them in the same vehicle (like Space ro Screamin) but on a ride like Mater's or Dumbo, they had to be in the physical vehicle. (5yo disappointed she couldn't ride with 12yo cousins.) It can be a challenge, but is workable in your situation.
